This research-based capstone project was designed to explore how data visualization can be used as a tool to more effectively communicate the scope, impact, and complexity of Artificial Intelligence's past, present, and future. The goal was to make AI more accessible and understandable to a general audience by translating abstract or technical information into clear, engaging visual formats. The project combines three key components: a custom timeline of major AI milestones, survey data from over 800 Tulane students about their experiences and attitudes toward AI, and a speculative future section illustrating three potential trajectories—utopian, neutral, and dystopian. I synthesized this material into a cohesive visual essay and interactive experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Prezi. The result is a layered and thought-provoking communication design piece that showcases both my visual storytelling skills and my ability to work across research, strategy, and concept development.
